A Rare Look Into Some Of What I Like

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt from late 2016:

Even the most laid back and egalitarian among us can be insufferable snobs when it comes to coffee, music, cars, beer, or any other pet obsession where things have to be just so. What are you snobbish about?

NFL Football, March Madness, Hockey(which I am absorbing in small bites), NBA Basketball. The sports that I am oh so snobbish about. No questions please.

Jazz – This musical genre speaks to me like no other. And although I also enjoy listening to other genres such as R&B, Old School Rap, Classical and Classic Rock, Jazz is king. It is smooth, relaxing, sultry, sexy, conversational… all that plus a bag of chips.

TV Shows – My enormous smorgasbord which includes a sampling of classics such as The Virginian, Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, Gunsmoke, Batman (the Adam West version), Leave It to Beaver, The Danny Thomas Show (aka Make Room for Daddy), Green Acres, The Flintstones, Perry Mason, Dragnet (both versions), Cheers, The Cosby Show, Good Times, Lost In Space, All in the Family, The Munsters, Lucille Ball Trilogy (I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show and Here’s Lucy), The Carol Burnett Show, MASH, The Original MacGyver (which I have rediscovered courtesy of MeTV and Netflix); to name a few. They are classics and like most classic TV shows, have stood the test of time and are simply priceless, like Mastercard.

As you can probably tell based on my choices, I am so snobbish on Classic TV; considering what the networks and cable have been offering us lately. No comment.

Oops… I almost forgot….what is Classic TV without me mentioning The Honeymooners Classic 39?  Right.

Real Radio Stations with real DJs playing real music, taking requests, along with your daily dose of everything local from news, traffic, and PSAs (Public Service Announcements).
They are so a dying breed, so cherish them and if you can, support them if they still exists in your town or city.

A good tasting meal (Spaghetti with Meatballs, Salad and Garlic Bread) complete with dessert and coffee (That is a topic to be discuss at a later date). Like my love for classic TV, I have way too many favorites.

This is just a small sampling of those things I am snobbish about.
